RESTORATION: Georgia Care Connection

Georgia is the only state in the nation with a statewide response to end sexual exploitation of children and the only state with the system of care response for victims (-what does this mean exactly??) The Georgia Care Connection Office (GCCO) provides independent care coordination for civtims of child sex trafficking.  It connects these children with  services and sets them on a new direction for their lives. GCCO is the single point ocontact for anyone seeking help for a sex-trafficked child.  The Care Connection staff acknowledges that the commercially sexually exploited child is a victim of a severe form of human trafficking and is in need of services GCCO services include:

• "Connecting the dots" of the child's actions and find the best opportunity for intervention.
• Leading dialogue among a multi-disciplinary team made up of family, child, and involved agencies as well as providers with the goal of developing a single, comprehensive care plan.
• Locating appropriate services.
